History
In 2012, the Swiss painter Ariane Monod asked the Dohjidai Gallery of Art to hold a solo exhibition of her works. After discussing how to hold the exhibition, the non-profit artists’ organization Association Cheminée Nord, to which Monod belongs, and the Dohjidai Gallery of Art agreed on a program in which the two organizations alternate with each other each year in inviting artists from the other party for production and solo exhibitions.
Year of (Program) Commencement

Program Objectives
The program aims to facilitate interaction between artists from Japan and Switzerland and provide support for their production and exhibitions.
Program Activities
Every alternate year, invited artists either from Japan or Switzerland, selected from recommendations or open applications, stay in the other country for several weeks while engaging in creative activities and holding exhibitions.
After the program, the organizer creates and makes public a report on the program’s accomplishments in an electronic or printed format.
