This book is the activity record of ARCUS PROJECT 2014 and 2015 in Ibaraki Prefecture. In 2014, three artists from the Netherlands, Argentina, and Cyprus, selected by the guest curator Mihoko Nishikawa (Curator of Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo), were invited to conduct research, workshops, creative activities, and presentation of works. The program in 2015 was curated by the guest curator Shihoko Iida (Associate Professor, Department of Intermedia Art, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts). Three artists from Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and South Africa (currently based in Belgium) were selected and engaged in research and workshops and, as in 2014, exhibited their works at an open studios event.
This book is bilingual, written in both Japanese and English.
